Drew Buddle, South Elgin High School
Congratulations Drew! While being an excellent baseball player throughout his young life, Drew also has his priorities in order for all the right reasons. From his 4.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale to the fact that he is a Certified Nursing Assistant who volunteers at the local nursing home, Drew is definitely a wise choice for this scholarship as we know he will do nothing but make us proud that he is one of our scholarship winners.
And it doesn’t stop there – Drew was also all-conference on the golf team in 2009, Treasurer of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) in 2009 and 2010, National Honor Society 2009 and 2010, volunteered with Adopt A Road, Children’s Oncology Christmas Party, Food Drives for Hanover Park Township, the Bartlett Challenger Baseball Program for physically and mentally handicapped children and the Cal’s Angels 5k Event in 2009 and 2010.
He is now on to Lewis University where he will play on the baseball team and concentrate on his studies that will eventually lead him into the medical field where he “will be able to help others in the future which is what I truly want to do.”
Good luck Drew!
